These programs, DxO and Lightroom, work well together and will create the best photos for you from your photography workflow, but they must both show you the same images. DXO Optics Pro: superior results if your equipment is supported Introduction I tried DXO optics pro a couple of years ago and was not impressed. Choose “Current profile of the display device” in the “ICC profile used for display” section. On the Display tab, find the Common section.See DxO's up-to-date chart of the exact lenses and cameras covered here. DxO Optics Pro Elite works with all those, as well as pro cameras like the Nikon D2Xs and Canon 5D and 1Ds. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences. DxO Optics Pro Standard works the fixed-lens cameras, and DSLRs like the Nikon D80, D70, D200 and Canon Rebels and 30D.

Here are the steps to make this happen within the DxO program (version 10 shown): It can also show your photos to you in the color space of your device, and this is the option that must be selected if you want your photos from DxO to look the same on your screen in both programs. It shows your photos in whatever color space you choose. For example, if you are viewing a photo on a calibrated monitor or laptop, it is going to use that color space and show your photo.ĭxO is different. In Lightroom, when you are viewing photos, it shows you photos in the color space of your device. I found that DxO was showing me more reds and greens – an indication to me that the color space was somehow off within DxO. Next, I viewed the same exact file in both programs. I stick with the sRGB color space when I initially output all of my photos because this ensures uniformity across all devices everywhere. Make sure this is true or else they will look different because different color spaces cause photos to look different. This is good because the color space I chose to output each in both programs was exactly the same, sRGB. Result: The photos looked exactly the same.

However, I noticed an issue with my workflow and it was the color of the images.
